"Remember that happiness is a way of travel - not a destination".

By Car
Traffic jams stretching back 5 to 7 miles, and taking several hours to pass through, have been ongoing since 3pm yesterday afternoon and were starting to intensify with new people arriving throughout the night.
Traffic queues starting from Shepton Mallet A37/A361 junction (about 5-6 miles from main gate) are reported as becoming heavier and punters are advised to use public transport if possible. If driving it would appear that approaching the site from the south side (on the A37 Poddimore-Shepton Mallet road) is advisable.
From London M3 then A303 then A37 north to site
From north M5 then A372 then A37 north to site
The bus service from Castle Carey BR station is reported as running well - about every 20 minutes depending on conditions.
Parking
The car parks are free for all Festival ticket holders. They are all outside the security fence and separate from the camping areas.
There are several fields reserved for campervans and caravans as well but it is thought these will be full by mid-afternoon today.
There are a few common sense rules which the festival is keen to enforce for obvious reasons:
No vehicles are to be parked in the fire lanes at any time.
No sound systems are to be operated in the caravan/camper van fields.
No canvas can be erected, except for manufacturers' awnings on caravans and caravanettes.
The fields must be clear by 12 noon on Tuesday 28 June. Any remaining vehicles will be removed.
Please respect the Country Code at all times.
Please do not use the village for access - this causes particular inconvenience for the villagers.

By Train
The Festival lays on free coaches for ticket holders from Castle Cary station (the closest station to the festival site) to the Festival Bus Station.
You are advised that the site lies about a mile from the Festival Bus Station and you will have to carry your belongings to the site - it can be a wheeze!
